Susan Drake Selected 2008 “Influential Women in Business" Award Winner
(Hawthorn Woods, IL - 2008) Susan Drake, Founder and CEO of Drake Resource Group, Inc., has been selected as one of twenty 2008 Influential Women in Business award winners by The Business Ledger publication. It is the 11th “class” of women to be recognized by the newspaper and its partner in the event, the National Association of Women Business Owners, Chicago Area Chapter, since the program’s inception in 1998. The winners were selected on the basis of their business, civic and personal achievements.
Ms. Drake’s nomination included highlights of her 14-year track record as president of a woman-owned virtual learning consulting business. From a one-woman start, she grew a business that now serves many Fortune 1000 clients and uses over 60 consultants in the areas of instructional design, e-learning, organizational development, web development, facilitation and overall learning strategy planning. Her personal and civic achievements include designing and delivering training programs to various volunteer and non-profit organizations. Because of her underlying servant-leadership approach to business and community service, she has achieved great success in both areas.
Sue Drake will be honored at an awards luncheon on November 6, 2008, at Venuti’s Banquet’s and Ristoriante in Addison, Illinois. A special section featuring the winners will be published in The Business Ledger the first week of December 2008.
